The responsibilities of the post-doc will include research work in the area of river and sea hydraulics and the participation in projects carried out by the Department of Coastal Engineering and Dynamics.

Requirements:

• PhD degree in civil engineering or related discipline, preferably in the area of hydromechanics or hydraulics;
• knowledge of theoretical and numerical methods applied in hydromechanics and hydraulics;
• skills in computer programming (MATLAB, Fortran, C/C++);
• familiarity with measurement techniques (PIV, LDV) and experience in laboratory and field investigations;
• experience in realization of research programmes;
• experience in preparation of scientific publications and technical reports;
• very good command of English;
• interest in problems related to marine environment;
• motivation for research work and readiness to gain new knowledge and skills.
