Communities of Practice
Communities of Practice (CoP) are set up by practitioners, consultants and scientists working at different European coastal sites and facing similar specific problems related to implementation of various elements of ICZM methodology. These communities organize workshops and Internet discussions where knowledge and experience are shared and where possible solutions are explored. The workshops and Internet discussions contribute to benchmarking and to the development of good practices for knowledge-based policymaking. End-users take the lead for a CoP. The theme desks and theme ambassadors play a facilitating role in the creation of Communities of Practice and assist in the organization of workshops. ENCORA will also play an active role by stimulating end-users to create a Community of Practice. The results achieved by the CoP will be made available by the theme website to the European coastal community at large. They will also be submitted for discussion to the Information-Exchange Communities. CSM1 - contact search mechanism application form |
